TRON LEGACY REVIEW
by Isaias
Tron...Tron...Tron
If I could describe this movie in one word it would be: SICKKKkkkkkkKKKK
but with more ks you know?lol
anyways my names ISAias Rogel, most people call me Isa and I will be reviewing this years sequel to 1982's classic TRON. I have no idea how to review a film so I'm just gonna give you guys my opinion, so remember it's just my opinion LoL.
Story: I went to see this movie with a couple of friends (rique and jackie). one didn't like the original movie and the other experienced Tron: Legacy with no knowledge of the original sooo although it is a sequel the story is simple enough to follow without seeing the first. The story begins with the disappearance of Kevin
Flynn, who was the CEO of ENCOM International. Not much is said about ENCOM, if you saw the original you know what ENCOM does, but it doesn't matter because point is Kevin Flynn has disappeared. His son Sam is sucked into the same world, or for you Tron fans "The Grid", and goes searching for his dad.
Visuals: Usually I dont care much about cgi or the effects of a movie BUTTTTT Kevin Flynn just happened to dissapear into one of the most beautiful places Ive ever seen haha. The original Tron back in 1982 basically pioneered live action computer animation and although I hate this whole "every movie is now in 3d" gimmick I believe Tron:Legacy really took advantage of the "technology". Most movies that jump on this 3d gimmick always seem to have unnecessary things in 3d likeeeee someone is sweeping and the broom will come out the screen for no reason?or things are put into the movie on purpose just to have em in 3d like trash being thrown at you or something stupid. But with Tron, the movie only becomes 3d when Flynn and his son are in "The Grid" and it looks incredible. The colors are extremely brite and colorful it feels psychadelic and trippy and cool.
Acting: I dont usually care about the acting unless its extremely bad. But Jeff Bridges does a good job reprising his role. The rest of the acting is average or above average. Wait...except the girl character in the movie who looks...BEAUTIFUl. Lol wait that has nothing to do with her acting?
Overall: Anyways overall the movie was a visual orgasm lol it looked incredible and was a lot of fun to watch. It was like taking acid but without taking acid(lol jp because i dont know what thats like but I can imagine its like TRON). The acting? who cares, the story? simple to follow. Oh andddd the original score was made by DAFT PUNK. I was dancing the entire time and im sure you will be too.
Score: Ill give it a 9, only because it was an incredible experience, it wont change cinema forever but it was great and made me feel like a kid again like i almost ran to target and bought the toys so i can hit them together and make explosive noises that sound nothing like explosive noises? hahaha
